We had decided to. Buy a newer car, but wanted a garage near to home. We found Crossways Garage in Halstead. We had an idea of what car we wanted and they had one in stock. We arrived and walked into the showroom and were greeted by Sam. He got the car out and running for us. We then went on a test drive with him. Lovely car far more modern than our old one and automatic. We were very impressed by the knowledge Sam has about the vehicle and his patience with the , shall we say, older driver who had never driven an automatic car. We bought the car, Sam helped us all the way through the volumes of paperwork etc. The owner of the garage was very helpful. I would highly recommend the garage. Really good experience from start to finish. Sam took the time to understand what we were looking for, recognised that the car we booked in to view was not right for us and let us have a look around the showroom. We eventually found something that never really appeared on our radar. Sam was really helpful, up front about the vehicle history and its longer-term suitability, and great through the whole process. Thank you, hopefully we won't need another car soon, but will definitely be back to have a look when we do!

From start to finish a great experience. I dealt mostly with Mark who was really helpful both during the process of buying the car has been great in the aftercare of it as well. He was quick to answer (the many) questions I had about the vehicle. Smooth, simple and no faff! Was browsing online at Mazda 3's and found one well within my budget, age and other requirements at Crossways Garage. Enquired via email and got a reply within 2 hours even on a friday afternoon, no pressure for a deposit etc. (unlike your traditional dealerships!), just a simple let us know if you want to test drive and we'll sort it! One test drive later, and a deposit was down! A big thank you to Sam for the help. Told us everything we needed to know about the car and definietly made the purchase an easy choice. The most smoothest process. Me and my partner were so anxious about getting a new car after the bad experience we’ve had the last year with different vehicles. We saw a car advertised and went to view it. Both Sam and Mark were extremely helpful. They were very reassuring and the car was MoT’d and ready to go for us the following day. The only negative is I can only give 5 stars. Have just bought our 4th car from Crossways. In our experience if you’re looking for someone to “sell you a car” go somewhere else. Every time we’ve been here there has NEVER been any sales pitches. You see a car you like and make arrangements to view it. All of the information is on their website regarding the vehicle but the guys will answer ANY questions. Once purchased the guys help you with all paperwork, tax, etc. I honestly can’t praise them enough. You go into the garage as a buyer and come out as a friend and this really does become your first to go to garage when you’re looking for another vehicle. Nothing much more to add really except for us it’s an amazing garage with a good range of wonderful cars, you won’t be disappointed

I can't say enough about the service we got form James, this should be the standard that anyone aspires to in sales, open, honest, no pressure and tells you all the faults first so there are no surprises, you know exactly what you are getting, just a wonderful experience from start to finish. We got the exact car we wanted and for a very good price, James even drove it all the way to Carlisle for us (300ish miles) withing three days of us saying we wanted it, no deposit taken and paid on arrival. When we come to buy a car again I will certainly be looking to James first, made buying our car fun and easy.

What a fantastic place. The owner, James, is brilliant at giving you all the information you need in a very open and honest fashion. Once again, a big thank you for the lift from Colchester to collect the car! I’ve done about 3k miles in my Skoda Octavia (64) bought in November; it’s been a pleasure to own so far. I’d buy from here again over anywhere in Colchester, and I’d recommend it without hesitation, simply because you will not find better service from a used car dealer anywhere.

I have purchased a lot of cars over the years but never had such a great experience. Customer service is second to none, car was exactly as described (relief as I bought it blind) James even delivered it to my home address, a journey of approximately 120 miles round trip. You just don’t find second hand car dealers this honest and willing to go the extra mile. Will definitely be putting crossways car sales at the top of my list for family and friends in the future.

Excellent, polite and not pushy. Was a difficult time for me and I felt that I was treated as royalty. My sister died just before I was due to pick up my car so my old car was not 100% shiny and I accidentally left some wood in there which I used to help my back. They must have wondered what on earth hadn't I told them lol. The new car was spotless and they made sure I was 100% happy and despite my brain being mush they made sure I knew everything I needed to know to get myself and my new car home. I can NOT fault them in anyway. Thank you so much to them.

Purchased a used Mercedes C Class this week. Car was exactly as described and well prepared for delivery. But what impressed me most was the superb level of customer service. I needed an automatic car as I have a long term left foot health issue. As I'm currently in plaster they brought the car to my home 30 miles away for a test drive and to deliver. Highly recommended

Bought a Toyota Avensis recently and the whole experience was dealt with very professionally from start to finish. That included resolving a tyre and brake problem once we had the car. This was dealt with immediately by the garage and included two new tyres and two new Toyota brake pads. There was never any buying pressure on us when discussing our part exchange and purchase in fact we received some very good advice. I would highly recommend this garage and would definitely buy from them again. They also give a six month free warranty where most garages only give three months, in my experience.
